Jyotish
Jyotish, or Vedic astrology, is an ancient science based on sacred Indian scriptures.
What is Jyotish?
Vedic astrology
Jyotish means “light of the higher force” in Sanskrit and reveals the connection between the life of an individual and the unified cosmic consciousness.
Thanks to Jyotish, humans begin to accept their true nature and recognize their destiny.
What is a natal chart?
A natal chart, also known as a birth chart, is a snapshot of the starry sky at the time of birth. In other words: We are born exactly when the planets occupy a certain position according to our karma. This contains our individual scenario for the current incarnation.
The task of each of us is to achieve a qualitative increase in creative genius in accordance with our personal highest potential. A natal chart consultation will save you a lot of energy and many time- consuming years of self-discovery.

I do not predict the future. I am not a futurologist, clairvoyant or fortune teller. My consultations are based on scientific approaches and the unique knowledge that my teachers and mentors have gratefully passed on to me. The future is variable and depends on human free will, which is why I cannot tell you, for example, whether you will get married or not. But I can give you an answer to the question as to what actions you should take so that the right partner appears in your life.
It can happen that your zodiac sign and ascendant in Vedic astrology do not match those in Western astrology. This is due to a deviation of about 24°. One of the main differences between the two astrological systems is the determination of the zero point of the twelve zodiac signs. Both systems use exactly the same segmentation into twelve signs and the same designations, but they differ in the fixation of the reference point in the sky (0° Aries).
Western astrology is based on the tropical system and assumes that the sun always arrives at the same point during the equinox in spring. However, as the earth’s axis rotates in relation to the ecliptic, the position of the sun changes by a fraction of a degree every year. Although this shift is very small, over the last 2000 years it has totalled around 24°. Vedic astrology takes this deviation into account by utilising the sidereal zodiac with fixed stars. This explains the different zodiac signs and ascendants in the two systems.
Body – Soul
Western astrology looks at a person from the perspective of personality with reference to the individual’s behaviour, social realisation and outer appearance in a particular life. Vedic astrology analyses a person’s horoscope from the perspective of karma as the cause of repeated incarnations and emphasises that a person does not only consist of a physical body and mind, but is first and foremost the soul.
Circle – Square
Vedic and Western astrology have different graphical representations of birth charts.
Vedic and Western astrology have different graphical representations of birth charts. In Vedic astrology, the birth chart has the shape of a square, while in Western astrology the birth chart is circular.
Parampara
Vedic astrology was given to the enlightened sages in meditation many thousands of years ago and has remained true to the disciplic succession (“parampara”) until today. This means that the knowledge has been continuously passed on from teacher to student. Vedic astrology attaches great importance to the qualities of astrologers as mediators of knowledge.
Sun – Moon
In Vedic astrology Jyotish, calculations are based on the movement of the moon around the zodiac. The moon changes its sign on average every two days. The movement of the ascendant which changes to the next sign every two hours is also taken into account. For this reason, according to Jyotish, all 12 zodiac signs are born on the same day.
Western astrology attaches great importance to the position of the sun, which moves from one zodiac sign to another once a month. Therefore, all people born between e. g. January 21st and February 18th, are Aquarians, and from March 21st to April 19th – Aries, etc.
Nakshatras
In Vedic astrology, by analysing the nakshatras (‘lunar houses’), it is possible to look at a person’s psyche, emotional nature and propensities at a deeper level.
Rahu and Ketu
Vedic astrology uses Rahu and Ketu, the “shadow planets”, which are the most important indicators of the karmic path and calling.
Subcharts
Western astrologers analyse a single natal chart. Vedic astrology uses the instrument of sub-charts. Subcharts are additional horoscopes that allow a more precise and accurate analysis.
