Yoga

Yoga (from Sanskrit “unity”, “harmony”) is not just a series of physical exercises, but an intense, deep, spiritual practice.

For me, yoga is a holistic system, a powerful tool that helps us to build and strengthen the connection between body, mind and soul through the synchronisation of conscious movement with breathing and concentration.
Yoga is also about acceptance and inner dialogue.

I am firmly convinced that the best yoga book is our own body. It clearly shows us what we should pay attention to and what we should work on.
For this reason, I teach you to accept your body, to feel it and to anticipate its signals, while practicing yoga.

The yoga classes I offer are the right choice for you if you want:

to live each day in a healthy and flexible body

to deepen your contact with yourself
and expand your personal potential

to reduce physical, mental
and emotional tension

to increase your energy levels

to find spiritual freedom, gratitude and harmony

to improve the quality of your sleep

Hatha-yoga

The word “hatha” is a compound of two bija mantras: “ha” stands for the mind, mental energy, and “tha” for prana, the life energy. Thus, hatha-yoga means the union of prana and the spiritual forces. Hatha-yoga includes asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help us to find peace in our own body, mind and soul. Hatha-yoga also supports us in preparing for deeper meditative practices.

My classes are suited to both beginners and advanced practitioners.

The scope and intensity of yoga classes vary depending on your request, wishes and personal yoga experience.

What does the classic Hatha-Yoga class include?

Inner attunement to the practice, conscious relaxation

Complex of breathing exercises (pranayama)

Warm-up complex “Surya Namaskar” – “Sun Salutations”

Main complex: a sequence of 12 asanas

Shavasana – practice of relaxation and recuperation

Yoga-nidra

Yoga-Nidra or „yogic sleep“ is a powerful technique of conscious and deep relaxation on a physical, mental and emotional level. Yoga-Nidra has its origins in the tantric ritual of „Nyasa“ and helps you to delve into the hidden nature of the subconscious and the authentic inner self. During Yoga-Nidra you find yourself in a transitional state between wakefulness and sleep. In this state, the inner dialogue stops, and the boundaries of perception begin to expand. Yoga-Nidra removes the mental blocks that prevent you from realising your dreams and hinder your self-realisation.

How does yoga-nidra work?

You lie on your back in Shavasana and mentally follow my voice.

You don’t have to concentrate or control your breathing. You simply listen to my voice and consciously follow the instructions.

During yoga-nidra, it is important to stay awake so that you don’t lose your mindfulness and can concentrate on what is being said.

Thanks to yoga-nidra you can:

Reduce stress

Relieve physical, mental and emotional tension

Achieve deep relaxation

Alleviate depressive states

to improve the quality of your sleep

Gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your thoughts

Strengthen your concentration and memory

Enhance your creativity

Meditations

The thoughts you have today determine your actions tomorrow. We often live on autopilot and perform several tasks simultaneously: without realising it, we quickly have lunch and check the day’s news in the meantime. Or we drive the car and dwell on the upcoming meeting. How much quality time do you actually spend with yourself every day? How often do you observe the space around you and within you?

Meditative practices allow us to slow down and create a deeper awareness of ourselves. My offer includes unique meditations that support you in your personal transformation in a gentle and effective way.

What are the potential benefits of meditation?

Slows down the flow of thoughts and calms the mind

Stops limiting and destructive beliefs

Helps to overcome emotional exhaustion

Reduces anxiety

Provides increased vital energy and increases productivity during the day

Creates a sense of serenity and inner peace

FAQ

There is no clear-cut answer to this question; it depends primarily on your personal preferences and goals. Regularity is important, as yoga can be practiced in the morning or evening with equal success. Note: All yoga poses should be done on an empty stomach.

In general, the practice of yoga-nidra is safe for most people. If you have any doubts or individual psychological disorders, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Yoga-nidra and hypnosis are two completely different methods. With yoga-nidra, the consciousness enters a space that is inaccessible to hypnosis. In hypnosis, the person is put into deep sleep, into an inert state in which the brain is completely switched off. During yoga-nidra, you are repeatedly encouraged to keep awake and attentive.

Yoga-nidra creates all the conditions for the fulfillment of your wishes. When your subconscious mind becomes more receptive and sensitive to autosuggestion, you formulate a sankalpa – a fixed intention or resolution. I will explain to you in detail during the session how to formulate a sankalpa so that it works.

Having thoughts is a natural process. That is also how you should deal with them. There is no reason to block your thoughts; learn to accept them and gradually refocus your attention on the object of meditation.

If you have any doubts or individual psychological disorders, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Please find below an incomplete list of contraindications for which standing on the nail board is not recommended:

  • pregnancy
  • open wounds on the feet
  • epilepsy
  • heart disease
